Several people have been injured after a car mounted the pavement and mowed down pedestrians outside the Natural History Museum in London this afternoon. A man (top left and main) was pinned down by security guards and arrested by police in the centre of the capital. Hundreds of terrified tourists fled the scene as the black Toyota (bottom left), which is a registered taxi, careered into a sign before ultimately crashing into a crowd of as many as 10 people, according to witnesses. Dramatic pictures taken at the scene show guards holding down a man covered in blood with rubble strewn across the road and dozens of armed police officers (right) rushed to the scene. Police have not ruled out the possibility of a terror attack.
